Service Partner to the Parcel industry is currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager.

The Role…

As with any new business role, initial introductions will be by phone, so you will be expected to demonstrate your ability to communicate with Operational people at all levels in order to sell out outsourced transport service to a range of market places. You will prospect and find new opportunities, and progress and close the sale. With contracts ranging from £100k to £1million upwards, there's some serious commission to be earned.

Responsibilities
- New Business Sales generation and Account Management
- Growth on your customer wins
- Gain the respect and trust of operational executives
- Planning and preparing presentations for customers and senior management
- Forming and building strong customer relationships
- Grow new opportunities and prospect to generate new business
- Responsible for the full sales cycle
- Work with other areas of the business to ensure consistent delivery

Essential Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Development/New Business sourcing
- Driven to achieve targets
- An understanding of the Parcel industry and outscoring routes
- Explore new synergies within the transport industry
- Ability to develop leads and win sustainable business
- Honesty and professionalism
- Ability to use your own initiative
- Outstanding negotiation and influencing skills

They are service partners with all the large national parcel carrier companies. They provide a multi drop delivery service across a number of disciplines. By working closely with the parcel carriers they have been able to increase their vehicle network.

Their aim is to improve service levels, drive down costs and create a competitive advantage for their customers. They have done this through a combination of unique management expertise and increase driver training.

Their Experience
Parcel Partner key management has significant experience in logistics and specifically in vehicle outsourcing. Extensive experience has been gained in all the environments. Through experience and knowledge of the strengths unique to individual carriers, they are able to offer transportation solutions that are flexible, scalable and cost-effective.

They have experience in high-density multi-drop in both 7.5t and 3.5t vehicles and larger vehicles Tractor units and 18t.
