To be successful in your application you must be a capable graduate who can show aspirations of becoming a teacher. You will be a graduate who can Show a caring attitude and empathise with your students. You should be able to evidence a thirst for knowledge when it comes to expanding your SEN repertoire. You will arrive with a considerate and empathetic approach to dealing with sensitive situations in the classroom.
About the Teaching Assistant Role
This Teaching Assistant position will see you using a range of SEN specific resources including ICT software to advance the progression made by pupils with Special Educational Needs. You will have the responsibility of aiding the development of pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis. Part of your role will include supporting pupils who speak 'English as an Additional Language', helping them settle in to the school and adapting to the academic and social aspects of school life.
