Technical Services Manager - Canary Wharf - Salary 60k to 65k + excellent benefits

Great new opportunity to join a global player in the built environment.
Responsible for the day-to-day operational management and servicing of a designated property. The Technical Services Manager will work closely with and seek direction from the General Manager & the Regional Facilities and Asset Management team.
You will be technically qualified with practical understanding of commercial property management.
Technical services management experience of hard services from an Investor or Corporate property management view point.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook essential & have strong verbal and numerical skills and be comfortable with report writing.

Must be customer-service driven and have excellent communication skills.

A team player with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills who interacts effectively with colleagues and clients.

Your main duties and responsibilities:
Ensuring the highest standards of management and maintenance of the property and servicing are provided to the occupiers, having specific regard to expenditure and budgetary considerations
Responsible for the day-to-day guidance, direction and development of site-based contract staff to
achieve effective deployment.
Responsible for the management of the following building services:
ľ Access/security control and CCTV systems.
ľ Lifts & Escalators
ľ M & E maintenance.
ľ Post room services.
ľ Assist in the Fabric maintenance.

Be familiar with all heating, ventilating, mechanical and electrical equipment and have a sound understanding of the purpose and general working of such equipment. To ensure maintenance contracts in place to cover O&M manual requirements
In conjunction with the GM, ensure that the procurement of all supplies and
services at the property are undertaken in accordance with the procurement program to ensure the highest standards for the best price. This will include the use of accredited Contractors only, usually on the basis of framework agreements, and purchase ordering systems. Monitor contractor performance against agreed standards. Review
service contracts as appropriate
Establishing and maintaining the highest quality Health & Safety regimes for the property;
Maintaining and keeping up-dated the Health & Safety Policy document for the property, which also includes liaising with external consultancies as required.
