1. Main Purpose of the Job
To coordinate and supervise all aspects of the 24 hour emergency monitoring and visiting response service to Sheltered Housing Residents, RSLs tenants and other dispersed users of Lambeth Careline24 service including people applying as homeless under the Housing Act (as amended in 2002). Ensure an excellent quality of service delivery 24 hours a day 365 days a year to the business unit’s customers.

2. Decision making
The nature of the job will require the post holder to make on the spot decisions in emergency situations as part of the call handling aspect of the position. This involves being able to manage and prioritise tasks that may come up ad-hoc and as emergencies and conflict with those already scheduled on a day to day basis.

The post holder is also responsible for coordinating and organising the workload for the Careline Officers including arranging visits to existing and prospective clients. This may also involve dealing with clients and their relatives in times of distress. Wide communication abilities are required, coupled with high standards of interpersonal skills and thorough knowledge of all work areas
