Storage Services Technical Analyst - NAS

A fresh new role has come in for a Storage Technical analyst who is self –driven and looking to join a well established Storage Disk Team Services Team providing support for the NAS storage platform. We are looking for an enthusiast technical storage analyst who is looking to grow and develop their career with a leading financial services organisation. You must have some experience working with NetApp Storage Solutions, (minimum 6 months). This role comes with excellent training and support for the right person who is driven to develop their career.
Storage Services Support Team is responsible for the provision of effective Storage systems and service capability. Working within the Storage Support Team you will be required to provide support to one of the largest platforms in the group.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide support of live NAS Storage infrastructure providing highly available service with focus on minimum service outage time.
• Working with business stakeholders and customers to ensure that all changes are delivered in line with our Operational Principles.
• Providing skilled technical resource to deliver and run NAS Storage related Infrastructure.
• Providing a 24*7 Storage infrastructure support service in line with the service availability targets for all of IT Operations (incl. on-call).
• Assisting in the analysis and timely resolution of production impacting incidents and problem records.
• Continuous focus on service improvement and delivery.
Strong understanding of the critical business services delivered from IT Operations
Knowledge
• Technical (includes Platform, technology, products and domains)
• Advanced knowledge of one or more Service Management disciplines such as incident, Problem, Change IT, Continuity or Capacity
• Relevant industry standard toolsets and processes to drive up customer service within an IT environment

Skills
Experience supporting a large scale production NAS infrastructure:

NetApp NAS Storage arrays – FAS2000, 3000, 6000 and 8000 series Filers, NetApp Operations Manager (DFM), SnapVault, SnapMirror, CIFS/NFS, Active Directory

-Establish and maintain risk assessments to identify and assess the material risks that arise in their area of responsibility.
-Comply with relevant Group Policies, testing and certifying the adequacy and effectiveness of their controls on a regular basis.
-Establish and document operating procedures which include relevant controls to meet Group and local policy requirements.
-Establish and own a governance structure for identifying and managing risk, and for defining and approving an appropriate Risk Appetite.
-Understand and comply with the regulatory requirements relevant to the jurisdiction(s) in which you operate
