SITE CHEMIST POSITION FOR ESTABLIHSED WASTE MANAGEMENT AND RECYCLING COMPANY WITH OVER TWO DECADES OF EXPERIENCE IN THE INDUSTRY.

TITLE: Site Chemist- Waste Management

CLIENT: My client has gained over 20 years’ experience in the Waste Management and Recycling industry, providing hazardous waste / waste oil collection and processing services. They are now seeking an experienced Site Chemist to join their team.

Package: Up to £27,000 and Pension.

Location: Hull

Previous industries: Hazardous Waste, Recycling, Waste Management, Renewable Energy, Anaerobic Digestion, Wood Recycling, Waste Oil, Hazardous Waste.

Previous Job Titles: Site Chemist / Technical Assessor / Analyst / Chemistry Graduate / Laboratory Technician / Hazardous Waste Assessor.

ROLE- Site Chemist- Waste Management

You will be out on site analysing and inspecting waste products, before running and issuing reports on your findings.

Be responsible for routing of waste, arranging outgoing loads and ensuring that they comply with legislation.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the site is well- maintained and that all Health and Safety procedures are being adhered to.

Advise of most cost- efficient waste disposal routes and liaise with the sales team as required.

You will have responsibility for checking records and keeping data up to date for the company database.

You will have the opportunity to grow the role as you choose, with the option to progress into a Depot Manager position.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED- Site Chemist- Waste Management

Previous experience working within the Waste Management industry preferable, with previous experience working with waste oils being highly desirable.

You will be computer literate, especially with MS Packages.

You must be comfortable working to your own initiative and as part of a team.

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

WAMITAB COTC4 in Treatment or Transfer would be beneficial.

IOSH / NEBOSH safety qualification or similar advantageous.
