Senior Healthcare Assistant - (Days)

Connect2staff are excited to be recruiting for Senior Healthcare Assistants to work within a brand new residential care home with a warm homely environment and brand new modern facilities.
Acting as part of the management team responsible for the day to day operation of the home we are looking for enthusiastic, caring individuals to join their successful team and provide the best care to their many residents. This fantastic care group offer opportunities for individuals wanting to progress within the care industry or those that are looking to start their career in care.
Your responsibilities:
* Directly manage and supervise care assistants.
* Provide senior cover in the absence of the Care Team Leader.
* Act as a role model for Carers, leading and motivating by example.
* Assist in the implementation of shift rotas, ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times.
* Be responsible in a first instance for complaints from residents and resolve with support from Dept/Manager as appropriate in line with company policies.
* Ensure monthly review of residents care and support plans are carried out in line with the resident's wishes and company procedures.
* Lead and work shifts on a rota basis with other senior staff as designated.
* Carry out induction of new staff as requested. Manage staff where needed and take appropriate disciplinary action where needed.
* Assist the Day Senior Carers in the ongoing assessment of resident's individual needs and capabilities.
* Support residents with all aspects of their personal care needs, respecting their dignity and privacy at all times.
* Work alongside carers to ensure a high standard of appropriate person centred care, tailored to meet the individual needs of residents.
* Take part in individual performance reviews as required.
Requirements of Senior HCA:
* A kind and caring person
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
* Experience of working in a residential care setting
* Enthusiasm to undertake additional training and progress skills and knowledge in Care
* Experience of supervising staff in a senior position is beneficial but not essential
