This is a Part-Time vacancy - working 30 hours per week

We are currently working with a great local college who has immediate vacancies for experienced Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Assessors due to expansion.

We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Engineering Trainer to cover the Hertfordshire region, assessing Level 2, 3 & 4 qualifications.

This college offers a highly competitive salary of up to £27000 pro rata depending on experience alongside some excellent benefits, including 30 days holiday + bank holidays and business mileage.

Working from their campus in St Albans and at sites across Hertfordshire, the main duties of the Mechanical/Electrical Engineering NVQ Assessor will include:
- Providing IAG to students, supporting them through relevant qualifications
- Delivering training and assessment of students in the college environment and at work placements across Hertfordshire
- Ensuring all documentation and paperwork is compliant and up-to-date
- Embedding Functional Skills, ERR and PLTS into the course where required
- Delivering NVQ Levels 2, 3 and 4 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

Skills and Experience Required for the Health and Social Care Assessor.
- Recognised assessor qualification (A1, CAVA, D32/33 or similar)
- PTLLS or equivalent teaching qualification is desirable
- An NVQ qualification in Engineering and relevant sector experience
- Experience of assessing learners within the Mechanical/Electrical Engineering sector up to Level 4 (experience delivering Level 5 also desirable but not necessary)
- Apprenticeship experience is also essential
- Flexibility to travel
