Connect2staff are excited to be recruiting for Healthcare Assistants to work within a brand new residential care home with a warm homely environment and brand new modern facilities.
Providing both residential and respite care, this home is looking for enthusiastic, caring individuals to join their successful team and provide the best care to their many residents. This fantastic care group offer opportunities for individuals wanting to progress within the care industry or those that are looking to start their career in care.
Your responsibilities:
* Carry out regular checks on residents at intervals determined by the resident, their support team and care plan
* Answer emergency bells and assess any situations and seek support from senior care staff where appropriate
* Carry out regular security checks on the building with special reference to fire prevention determined by the General Manager
* Administer medication according to the laid down procedure.
* Ensure that residents receive timely access to person centred care in response to their changing needs and work with the Day care staff to support residents to bed and likewise in the mornings.
* Read and write reports in resident's daily records and or care plans.
* Take part in staff meetings and training where required.
* Promote equality and diversity across the home.
Requirements of HCA:
* A kind and caring person
* NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
* Previous experience in the Healthcare environment would be beneficial
* Enthusiasm to undertake additional training and progress skills and knowledge in Care
* Flexibility to work on a shift basis
