The Job…
They are looking to recruit an Architectural Technologist to work on projects predominantly within the Bath area. Ideally, you will have a minimum of two years’ experience working within either a UK based House Builder, design consultancy or Planning Department. You will be capable of liaising with the Site Team and Planning g Department to resolve any issues and bring them to a speedy conclusion.
It is imperative that you are an eager and committed team player, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. You will need the ability to work alone as and when required. Experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is essential.

The Person will be responsible for …
• Selecting the best materials and processes for the project, focusing on the functionality of the building.
• Analysing architectural plans and drawings, highlighting any possible risks or problems and making amendments using computer-aided design applications (CAD).
• Specifying the appropriate technology and tools to be used in the project and advising where this requires deviation from the initial design plans.
• Liaising with the architect, surveyors and other construction professionals to discuss the project brief.
• They may be involved in post-construction appraisal stages; handing the project over to the client or making sure the building is appropriately furnished and prepared to client specification.
• Principally, assisting the Design Manager in the co-ordination of design, planning and architectural technical requirements on a number of housing developments, through the construction phase, to build completion.
• You will also be involved at the pre-planning application stage, responsible for the production and issuing of planning and architectural working drawings.
• You will be required to liaise closely with all internal departments, Local Authorities, NHBC, and specialist external consultants, in order to ensure compliance, and prompt and efficient approvals
