Sewell Wallis are working exclusively with a large distribution business based in Leeds. This newly created role is the ideal opportunity for either a first or second time mover from practice. The company has recently been through a number of successful acquisitions and has become a market leader within it's industry.

This role will come with an achievable and structured career path and will report into a highly experienced and supportive manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

-Perform weekly bank reconciliations
-Prepare and process month accruals/prepayments/payroll journals
-Maintain the company fixed asset register
-Assisting with year-end audit, compiling stat accounts for year end
-Reconcile inventory
-Prepare the monthly P&L for the Finance Manager to consolidate
-Producing KPI reports for finance, sales and expenses against budget
-Help maintain and improve finance processes and procedures
-Ad hoc production of monthly analysis and reports
-Delivery of ad-hoc financial and business projects

The ideal candidate will be:

- A qualified accountant, ideally ACA or ACCA
- A strong communicator with a proven background in financial accounting
