I am actively working with a leading Manufacturing company in Dorset who are looking for a Mechanical Installations Engineer to join their engineering department. As a Mechanical Installations Engineer you will be diverse and capable of working on your own initiative.

The Mechanical Installations Engineer will need to be keen and forward thinking. The role will be versatile at times, including electrical and mechanical exposure.

Skills and Experience required as a Mechanical Installations Engineer:

* This person must have extensive mechanical assembly/ fitting experience
* A strong bespoke process machinery/aeronautical /aerospace/ robotics / dynamic motion background
* Must be willing to travel over the UK and overseas to customer sites - for installation, commissioning and general service activities
* This person must have an engineering discipline qualification - HNC, NVQ, Apprenticeship etc.

Key Responsibilities as a Mechanical Installations Engineer:

The role encompasses all activities associated with the final set up and pre-despatch testing of fully assembled bespoke machinery. My client requires a Mechanical Installations Engineer to work within a sub section of the assembly department (End of Line) to ensure an electrically and mechanically completed machine is ready to safely run in production within the customer's facility upon delivery, commissioning etc.

Other duties include:

* To ensure that quality of build and general machine operation meets the required level.
* To ensure that the machine operation is safe and complies with Company agreed standards.
* To run completed machines for internal factory acceptance tests and customer sign-offs.
* To liaise with the Engineering Department to ensure that any modifications are back-fed for future reference on subsequent machines and the supply of spare parts.
* Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Electrical/Software Controls, and locally within the production area with Electricians and other Mechanical Assembly Staff.
* To work with a software engineer/programmer in order to achieve the required machine functionality and safety requirements during set-up and testing.
* To travel to work on-site at customers' facilities (UK & Overseas) for installation, commissioning, customer training and general field service activities

Salary Expectations:

£25,000 - £35,000 DOE
