This World Class 1st Tier Automotive Manufacturer are recruiting NOW for a Electrically bias Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team at Wolverhampton, responsible for responding to and resolving any Robot and Assembly breakdowns.  The ideal candidate will have an electrical bias with experience in Automation and Robots.  This is either a 3 shift pattern or continental shift based role, and offers a competitive salary, pension, 25 days holiday + stats and the opportunity for overtime.

The Role:-

As Maintenance Engineer, you will provide breakdown support to manufacturing areas, carrying out improvements and preventative maintenance on all site equipment, including:-

- Predominantly based on the shop floor, carrying out routine maintenance of assembly and welding equipment
- Timely response to equipment stoppages
- Improvements to assembly equipment (Kaizen)
- Adherence to departmental systems (recording downtime, PM)
- Identifying the direct effect on manufacturing equipment in terms of reliability, output rate and quality

The Suitable Candidate:-

- Experienced Electrical Biased, Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician
- Experience in Industrial Robotics or Welding (Spot and/or MIG)
- An automotive background is ideal, preferably from a metal components background i.e. presswork, BIW etc
- Reasonable level of mechanical aptitude including welding, fabrication and fitting, pneumatics and hydraulics
- Knowledge of HMI`s and PLC`s (Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi)
- Recognised apprenticeship or HNC Electrical or equivalent, and ideally C&G 17th Edition regulations
