As a Plant Engineer you will assist with the seamless running of all plant equipment within our luxury property, ensuring our guests receive the ultimate stay with us. You will be knowledgeable about all hotel maintenance and plant room equipment.

Scope and Purpose

You will be capable of working in a busy department and be adaptable and flexible in order to adjust to the day to day requirements of the engineering facility to maintain the property in an optimum and efficient condition.

As a Plant Engineer you will be responsible for preventive maintenance work, all remedial work and regular inspection of all plant equipment, including chillers, air handling units, boilers, calorifiers, circulating pumps, valves and storage tanks. You will be responsible for the efficient repair of all defects reported, monitor all services and log all findings.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, will be a responsible person who takes pride in their work and be fully conversant with Health and Safety regulations.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements:
•Previous plant engineering experience, preferably from within a 4/5* hotel or similar luxury environment
•City & Guilds 17th Edition and relevant HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning) qualifications
•Level 3 Mechanical and Level 3 Electrical (City & Guilds or equivalent)

Other skills that will need to be demonstrated include:
•TREND Controls BMS system operative knowledge preferred
•Competent use of MS Office
•A good command of written and spoken English
•Exceptional customer care skills
•Empathy for your colleagues
•Ability to work under pressure
•Pride and attention to detail in your work
•The finest personal presentation
