We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a large construction company which will be based in the Cardiff area. You must have previous experience within the house building industry and have a proven track record to show this.

Main responsibilities:-

Commercial
1. Understands the requirements of the project and ensures that all contract administration / procedures are undertaken.

2. Input into risk / opportunity register. Include exceptional risks/ opportunities into project Business Plan and initiate actions to mitigate risks/ opportunities.

4. Control and manage site/project budgets including profit and loss plus budget constraints.

5. Develop, control and ensure delivery against the project budgets including profit, preliminaries, procurements etc.

Bidding
1. Understands and develops the agreed strategy conceived in the bid phase for project delivery.

2. Actively participates and takes ownership in developing customer and project solutions during the tender stage and represents the company at all stages of the process.

Design
1. Interpret and analyse design information, recommend alternative design solutions and ensure inaccuracies and missings are addressed.

2. Ensure measures are established for the timely delivery of design information.

People
1. Identify resource requirements and recruit in accordance with company procedures.

2. Manage performance using the PDR process and identify learning and development needs for their teams and project specific training requirements.

3. Fulfil HR Line management duties e.g. manage absence, expenses ,holidays and induction etc

Supply Chain Management
1. Contribute into supply chain selection process and provide regular feedback and manage supply chain performance.

2. Agree requirements for time, cost and quality aspects of trade contractor packages.

Customers
1. Identify and manage the relationships with customers, project teams, tenants and community representatives.

2. Promote and uphold the values of the company brand.

Delivery
1. Develop and implement detailed programmes and schedules which allow accurate monitoring and reporting of progress, and implement actions to achieve targeted performance.

2. Identify the quality expectations and embrace these in the Quality Plan. Implement measures to ensure compliance with the customer requirements and project business plan.

6. Develop and implement site establishment and ensure the efficient and effective management of site logistics.

7. Implement all statutory regulatory and company requirements for managing Health and Safety. Ensure compliance with H & S plan.

8. Implement all statutory, regulatory and company requirements for environmental and waste management. Ensure compliance with project Environmental and Waste Management Plans.

9. Secure and manage the appropriate resources to deliver the project / scheme effectively and efficiently in a professional manner to ensure successful delivery within project constraints.

10. Identify, communicate to the team the requirements and put measures in place to ensure the successful handover of the project. Including support to customer/ end user throughout the handover process.

11. Establish a communications plan including information management procedures for the project and agree accountabilities for team members.

12. Manage and discharge all regulatory requirements with regard to planning and building regulations approvals
