We are currently recruiting for a proactive and motivated Motor Claims Handler to join the largest third-party accident management and claims handling provider in the UK; serving insurers, brokers and fleet operators by providing a wide range of claims handling solutions across the motor, property and legal claims sectors.

Duties

• Initial point of contact for efficiently and accurately recording new motor claim details.
• Key contact point for inbound calls from Clients, customers and suppliers answering queries.
• Managing vehicle repairs
o Booking vehicles into repairers
o Ensuring estimates are received
o Confirming expected completion dates
o Updating the customer throughout the repair lifecycle
o Ensuring repair completion and vehicle return to the customer
• Ensuring that accurate reserves are placed on all claims.
• Pursuing ULR on non-fault incidents.
• To liaise with the client regarding settlement of complex/high value cases.
• To liaise with all suppliers, other departments and other parties involved as appropriate to minimise the inconvenience to the customer and maximise the efficiency of the end to end claim resolution.
• To deal with incoming third party claims including:
o Property Damage
o Loss of Use/Hire
o Loss of Earnings
o Credit Hire
o MOJ Personal Injury
o High Value/Complex Personal Injury

Skills

• Ability to build customer rapport and demonstrate empathy on the telephone.
• Accuracy with data capture and data entry.
• Excellent communications skills; an ability to liaise, negotiate and update clients, customer, suppliers and other contacts.
• Competent in Third Party Property Damage and Uninsured Loss Recovery claims.
• Competent in Credit Hire Defence including familiarity with the ABI GTA Agreement.
• Competent in MOJ Personal Injury and Complex/High Value Personal Injury
• Understanding of Data Protection Act.
• Understanding of Financial Conduct Authority, Financial Ombudsman Service & Treating Customers Fairly.
