This is an exciting opportunity working for a Tier 1 Automotive Manufacturer with a global presence and they have an opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Leader to join their team. As the Continuous Improvement Leader you will be responsible for managing, supporting and facilitating the cross-site & site-wide deployment of the continuous improvement strategy and employee involvement initiatives. The primary objective of the site continuous improvement leader is to coach and influence the site management and employees to implement and sustain a beneficial change culture.

As a Continuous Improvement Leader your key responsibilities will include:

* Facilitate site-wide continuous improvement activities (production and business processes) and interventions that support Continuous Improvement Leaders with their activities; ensuring commonality of approach
* Working to develop the sites continuous improvement plans (CIP) and continuous improvement strategy
* Facilitate the site senior leadership team in evolving the site strategy and aligning functional action plans to deliver the site strategy.
* Lead site Continuous Improvement leaders, including task prioritisation, coaching, training and development
* Identify cost saving projects and track predicated and actual savings
* Implements train-the-trainer approach and rapid, sustained implementation through learn-by-doing methods.
* Focuses site teams on continuous improvement, by involving people in meeting productivity and site objectives through

* Employee teams
* Continuous Improvement events
* Team improvement projects
* Lean Enterprise training workshops

* Provides leadership, coaching and training to the site in lean thinking, lean processes and lean production.

Identifies opportunities to implement common processes and best practices from other sites and businesses; disseminates and acts upon relevant industry and corporate benchmarking data

To be successful in the role of Continuous Improvement Leader you will be technically motivated and naturally proactive and will have the following skills, qualifications and attributes:

Proven track record of leading transformational change using continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma

A strong leader, having previously held a senior operational position delivering large business change projects

Essential to be able to demonstrate experience of working in the manufacturing sector, continuous improvement techniques and lean manufacturing

Time Management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Proven experience of delivering measurable results

A quick learner who is adaptable to and embraces change

Builds team sand acts as a role model in coaching, championing change

Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organisation to ‘get things done’

Excellent organisational and planning skills

Excellent communication skills
