ELECTRICAL CONTRACTS / PROJECTS MANAGER

My Client is a Mechanical & Electrical Contracting Company located in Central London offering a personal and detailed serviced to recognised customers throughout London.

Job Description
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience and trade qualifications. They should be capable of demonstrating previous successful experience on Electrical Projects of £100K to £2.0 million, be able to work under their own initiative from receipt of order through to final account and within the defects period and be cognisant of the current contract climate. This involves having a general knowledge of contract law, administration, account development and submission.

Candidates should hold a clean driving licence and hold a CSCS Card. They should be conversant with BS 7671, 5266, 5839 and CG 2391 requirements.

Some knowledge of Estimating Packages.

MS Project and a good working knowledge of Excel and Word would be an advantage.

Outline Brief of Requirements
1. Read, understand and scrutinise Specifications, Programmes & Drawings
2. Working knowledge of Estimating.
3. Prepare Contract Documents i.e. Method Statements, Risk Assessments, RFI’s,
Technical Submissions, etc.
4. Meet with Clients and Consultants
5. Carry out site visits and surveys
6. Read, understand and scrutinise Sub-Contract instructions
7. Manage site labour and sub-contractors
8. Prepare handover documents i.e. O&M Manuals and Record Drawings
9. Manage contract costs and variations including procurement
10. Liaise with design team i.e. Architect & Consultants
11. Flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously
12. Working knowledge of Amtech FastTest
13. Flexibility to travel, working at main office and site based
14. Willing to undertake CPD in line with regulations & Health & Safety
15. Ability to manage a wide range of varying projects from small school extensions to
large hospitals

Qualifications
· City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent
· City & Guilds Level 3, 17th Edition IEE Regulations
· City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection (not essential but would be preferred)
· SMSTS (not essential but would be preferred)
