A national Civil Engineering company with projects across the UK now have a requirement for a Site Manager for a large project in Cambridge. As a business they specialise in groundwork's, Civil Engineering, construction of roads, bridges and highways.

As the Site Manager you will be the lead on a £4Mil project with ideally previous experience in medium to large sized construction contracts and have sound knowledge of highways, heavy civils and earthworks construction although the client would also look at people from a main contracting or large sub contracting background with a good overall understanding of groundwork's

Duties:

Managing an site resident engineer as well as labour and trades

*
Ensure the works are being built correctly to specification.

*
Advise / suggest construction methods, technical detail, alternatives, Value Engineering etc.

*
Input into the weekly programmes, disseminate the programmes to the team and work closely with the foremen to ensure activities are carried out as planned

*
Ensure the planned works are able to progress on time with regard to availability of permits, RAMS, setting out / model info

*
Ensure quality records are produced to a good standard and supplied to quality manager

*
Set up procedures to ensure information is available for KPI's

*
Liaise with Client to ensure : Good relations maintained, works are available as programmed, interfaces planned, problems are solved, value engineering discussed.

Ensure safety standards are upheld and engineering staff are actively

Requirements:

SMSTS

*
First Aid

*
2x references for Site Management employment

*
Previous experience managing GWS & Civils project up to the value of £5Mil
