Retail & Online Merchandiser
Poole, Dorset
c£41,000 Plus Excellent Benefits

If you have a background in sales analysis and stock management, this is an incredible opportunity to facilitate the ongoing success of a lifesaving service.

The RNLI has been saving lives at sea for over 190 years. We’re now looking for a Retail & Online Merchandiser to join our Retail Product Team in Poole.

You will have the chance to inform our current and future retail strategy and play an integral role in ensuring that we maximise sales through all our channels. Without this vital income, we would not be able to educate, inform and keep the general public safe.

As the Retail & Online Merchandiser, you’ll ensure optimum stock management of the RNLI’s product ranges.

In this important role, you’ll act as the RNLI’s go-to person on all aspects of stock and sales performance and analysis. You’ll implement the stock management strategy and ensure that 100% of sales profits are returned to the RNLI to help fund our lifesaving work.

You’ll analyse sales, income and demand plans, as well as supplier lead times and costs to identify the optimum stock and re-order levels for retail shops, fundraising branches and eCommerce channels.

To be considered, you will need:

- Experience of managing and planning stock in a medium-sized retail business
- A track record of providing sales analysis
- Experience of assessing and rolling out new systems
- Previous experience of managing and analysing data, drawing from a variety of sources of information to inform decisions
- A good understanding of best practice methods in stock, sales and supplier management
- A strong working knowledge of AX Dynamics and EPOS
- A-Level qualifications (or equivalent), ideally a degree

Articulate and proactive, as the Retail & Online Merchandiser, you’ll be a confident strategist and team leader who enjoys building influential relationships at all levels.

Please note, the closing date for applications is 30th July 2017. Interviews are scheduled to be held at our Poole HQ on 7th August 2017.

Our staff and volunteers have been saving lives at sea without prejudice for nearly 200 years. We respect and value diversity of background, skills and perspectives within our teams, and consider it essential to help us deliver a world-class lifesaving service. We are an inclusive organisation and welcome applications from everyone. In addition to having the skills needed for the role, we also look for applicants who share our commitment to living our RNLI values (trustworthy, courageous, selfless, and dependable), and helping us work towards our goals of halving drowning in the UK and Ireland by 2024. This involves a growing commitment to preventative action, using our expertise to work in partnership with communities locally, nationally and internationally to prevent drowning.
