Our client is currently looking for a Shift Leader to join their team at one of their prestigious contracts, close to Liverpool Street station.

This is a ‘hands on’ position responsible for the mechanical & electrical service delivery on a 24 x 7 shift pattern.

Purpose of Role:
In this role you will ensure that PPM and Reactive calls are completed to a high standard and within the agreed timescales, with the team of engineers that you have.

Key responsibilities will include
Managing a team of engineers
Supervise and carry out skilled routine PPM and reactive call outs.
Be proactive in reporting faults to equipment, buildings and fittings ensuring all small works opportunities are identified and followed up
Work in accordance with given instructions, safe working practices and method statements ensuring relevant paperwork is completed in an accurate timely manner
Follow procurement practices as directed
Ensure that the cleanliness of all work areas including plant rooms, workshops and storage areas is kept up by the engineers
Focus on customer needs and customer preferences using ‘customer care’ concepts in theory and practice including needs of internal customers in administration and operational teams
Commitment to delivery of quality product and service by understanding following relevant Company systems and procedures producing Company paperwork and reports on time and to a satisfactory standard
Preparing quotations for other works
To adhere to all applicable Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, Statutory Compliance
To perform additional works as and when necessary ensuring the correct company procedures are followed.
Ensure work is undertaken in line with specific method statements & risk assessments and in line with relevant safety legislation and Company health and safety systems and procedures
Ensure statutory compliance tasks are kept 100% up to date and the associated log books accurately reflect the condition of the systems.
Develop excellent working relationships with our client or their appointed representative through good customer service.
Identify additional reactive and project work opportunities, escalating to the Account Manager as appropriate. ensure that all site documentation is kept up to date as this will be regularly audit either by internal or external parties.
Address any H&S or audit actions so they are completed within the correct time frames.

Essential

Good all round building services background
C&G 2381, 17th Edition I.E.E.
C&G 2391 Electrical Inspection & Testing.
Knowledge of BMS
