My Client is an international business who supply and design for bespoke solutions for engineering facilities. In the UK, they employ circa 140 people and have been growing for the last few years as a result of increased continuous workload.

They are responsible for the whole solution for the design, specification, installation and commissioning for their projects which could include new, ground up projects or upgrades to existing facilities.

As a result of this growth, they are looking to take on a Senior Manager for their Service and Aftercare division which is dedicated to Robotic applications.

This role is an integral part of their business and is responsible for driving and developing sales for upgrades and enhancement type projects through developing business relationships, which may include securing new and existing maintenance contracts, spare parts and warranty for primarily robotics type equipment.

You will be managing a team of four people and will have man management responsibility for ensuring the Service team are in the right place at the right time.

Developing the strategy for this department to achieve targets is a key part of this role and you will ideally have held a responsible position where you have been involved in setting and successfully implementing targets.

Roles and responsibilities include:

* Developing, promoting the growth and meeting financial targets for all projects
* Developing customer relationships or existing service contracts
* Determine sales strategy for new service contracts.
* Understanding of cost and presenting to board members.
* Attend sales and technical meetings
* To promote the opportunities available through Service Solutions organisation
* Coordinate quotations internally within the Service Solutions framework and maintain the sales effort with the customer.
* Hand over sales leads to the appropriate persons for potential projects
* Report projects and proposals monthly

You will be a self starter who is able to work as part of a multi-disciplined team and possess the gravitas to communicate at a number of different levels from team to board level. This role is about being accountable for the division and you have the capability to drive the business unit forward and come up with the strategy on how to develop the company objectives for the division, so a really exciting opportunity.

You will be managing a small team of four but this also has the option to grow as the business develops at your lead.

Robotics experience is key for this role and my client are open to background whether this is a sales, service, commissioning, or management background. You will need experience with automated environments from either a OEM or Automated Manufacturing background.

The role is about being proactive and developing customer relationships to develop business opportunities so you will be a strong communicator and have a can do attitude with an eye for spotting development opportunities.
