eCommerce Project Manager (Contract)
Poole, Dorset
£35,284 - £41,511 DOE pro rata

Are you a certified project management professional seeking your next challenge? Want to oversee the creation of a new online retail business for a lifesaving charity? If so, we would love to hear from you.

The RNLI has been saving lives at sea for over 190 years. We’re now looking for an eCommerce Project Manager to join our team on a contract lasting up to eight months.

In this important role, you’ll have the chance to hit the ground running and oversee an ambitious project that will have an immediate impact on the charity’s success.

As the eCommerce Project Manager, you will lead the set-up and launch an online retail business for the charity.

Liaising with the eCommerce Manager and across the RNLI, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day implementation, roll-out and sustainment of the new RNLI online store in 2018.

Working in a multi-stream environment, you’ll ensure that the project is scoped, specified, approved, designed and delivered within set timescales and to a high standard.

You’ll develop an efficient and profitable business that attracts new supporters to the charity and meets the needs of current supporters.

To be considered, you will need:

- Substantial experience of successfully delivering and implementing large scale projects and/or programmes
- Experience of managing retail projects, specifically implementing and embedding eCommerce, including online solutions and fulfilment
- In-depth experience of the whole programme lifecycle, from initial definition, approval, conceptual design, detail design, delivery, test, go-live and through life support
- A track record of delivering projects using both Waterfall and Agile delivery methods
- Knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of project management
- A project management certification
- A degree level qualification

As the eCommerce Project Manager, you’ll be a confident self-starter who can motivate others in an evolving environment. Organised and meticulous, you’ll have excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to forge strong relationships at all levels.

Please note, the closing date for applications is 2nd August 2017. Interviews are scheduled to be held on 7th August 2017 at our HQ in Poole.

Our staff and volunteers have been saving lives at sea without prejudice for nearly 200 years. We respect and value diversity of background, skills and perspectives within our teams, and consider it essential to help us deliver a world-class lifesaving service. We are an inclusive organisation and welcome applications from everyone. In addition to having the skills needed for the role, we also look for applicants who share our commitment to living our RNLI values (trustworthy, courageous, selfless, and dependable), and helping us work towards our goals of halving drowning in the UK and Ireland by 2024. This involves a growing commitment to preventative action, using our expertise to work in partnership with communities locally, nationally and internationally to prevent drowning.
