About the role
Alzheimer`s Society is the UK`s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and numbers are set to rise to over 1 million by 2025.

Are you interested in demanding change with and for people affected by dementia so together we can shape communities to respond? Can you come up with innovative ways to partner with others to create change?

Joining the Society at an exciting time, you will support in the delivery of national and regional partnerships in our community change flagship programmes, securing involvement of senior leaders and proactively increasing our reach into more sectors of business and society. This will result in more organisations being dementia-friendly and more individuals within those organisations being Dementia Friends. We want to secure change so people with dementia can participate on their own terms and shape their community around them with us.

You will be part of the Programme Partnerships team, supporting us to extend the reach of our community change programmes into extensive networks of stakeholders, from businesses to public sector to voluntary sector organisations at a national level. This is a period of ambitious growth for our partnership work across all disciplines in the charity.

About you
We`re looking for an enthusiastic individual with proven ability to relate and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally.

You will be familiar with working to targets and celebrating widely when goals are reached – you want everyone to hear about our community change programmes and to want to be a part of them!

You will have experience of working on the delivery of project and developing and managing relationships with external organisations. You will proactively increase our reach into more sectors of business and society.

You will have excellent presentation, promotional and interpersonal skills as well as experience of organising meetings and events
