Job description

My client is the UK's leading IT solutions company that specialize in making office life easier. They are the masters of productivity, bringing sharper, more effective print, voice and IT solutions to businesses of all shapes and sizes. They are redefining the managed print sector and transforming their client's day to day technical processes.

They are currently looking for an enthusiastic, tech savvy apprentice to join their expanding central London offices.

Key responsibilities

The core role of the IT junior is to assist with the day to day running of the companies IT infrastructure.

Duties include 1st line support, IT inventory, network implementation, workstation configuration and maintenance through to database admin, backup procedures and telephony troubleshooting.

An enthusiasm for IT and technical knowledge is essential - there will be opportunities for a wide range of training and certification.

Full training for the following will be provided:

IT knowledge & skills

* An understanding of the internet as a business tool
* Microsoft Applications - Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint:
* Practical Windows PC/Server experience
* Networking - TCP/IP
* Servers and server technology (Active Directory, VMWare)
* An interest in IT security (firewalls, policies)
* Windows, Office 2013/2016, Office 365, Mac OS-X
* Mobiles - IOS/Android

Key skills required:

* Able to work in a team
* Ability to self-motivate/manage
* Ability to learn procedures
* Able to own and complete projects
* A understanding of the need to prioritise and report coherently (written and verbal)
* Ability to field support requests either via phone/email or in person
* Multi-tasking, efficient triaging and prioritising of issues
