The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting mechanical system integration activities across various contracts. The role will involve working
with an adaptable team of engineers across the multi-discipline needs of the vehicle to propose designsolutions to resolve problems.
The individual should be an experienced project engineer with a multi discipline engineering back ground,preferably in a Defence, Automotive or Special Vehicles environment. Experience of engagement withAnalysis teams and tools is desirable and other related analytical tools throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:

Development and documentation of System/Subsystem Designs
Experience of developing engineering vehicle systems from concept to production, meeting performance 8: reliability targets
Provide guidance/instruction to CAD draughtsmen to develop and detail system 84 part designs Define, develop & implement test and validation activities, to meet specification targets
Support design, development & present concepts for review/sign~off
Work with suppliers to design and specify vehicle systems and support related issue resolutions Experience, Qualifications 8: Competency Requirements:

Essential Skills:

Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline
Experience of developing engineering vehicle systems from concept to production, meeting performance & reliability targets
Ability to interpret vehicle system design requirements and propose appropriate design solutions Experience of drawing release through CAD, review and approval of supplier drawings and specifications Preparation and documentation of FM EA's/FlVlA etc
Hold or be capable of holding security clearance up to the level of SC
Willing to travel within the UK and overseas if necessary.
Must hold, or be willing to hold business use insurance on personal car.

Highly Desirable Skills:

Working knowledge of PTC Windchill & CREO
Definition of Design Validation plans and implementation of test plans
Ability to Understand Analytical tools and interpret into design requirements.
Familiarity with current British Army tracked and wheeled vehicles
Experience in on/off highway or low volume/special purpose vehicles
Broad knowledge of standards and legislation applicable to military platforms
Experience in Root cause analysis
Knowledge of quality control/assurance procedures and best practice
