About the role:

As the Community Safety Co-ordinator, you will work as part of the Group wide Community Safety Team; responsible for providing a specialist service to resolve cases of nuisance, harassment, and antisocial behaviour. Through the effective use of enforcement tools and alongside relevant support and community remedies, you will provide a holistic approach to community cohesion.

You will provide, on a rota basis, a duty function offering case support and technical advice to colleagues across the Group. You will also be responsible for providing a triage system for all new referrals to the service, making initial enquiries with customers, case assessments and other associated work to support the service and the customer.

You will be responsible for managing, investigating and taking ownership of nuisance, harassment and anti-social behaviour cases referred to the Community Safety Service, including domestic abuse and honour crimes, in line with the Groups policy and procedural framework.

A key aspect of this role is gathering evidence and relevant information from a range of sources including professional witnesses to enable swift enforcement action to be taken. This will include visiting complainants and perpetrators (as appropriate) ensuring records are accurate and kept up-to-date on the Groups case management system.

You will aso be responsible for managing your own case load, prioritising cases as necessary, and ensuring a co-ordinated and quality service to all parties involved..

In addition to this you will attend any relevant training or development as required and assist with training and advice to other staff on operational issues relating to the nuisance, harassment and anti-social behaviour.

Salary: From £26,526 per annum

About You:

To be successful in this role you will have experience of working in a housing / community environment where you will have delivered a customer focused service. If you have experience of working within an ASB / Community Safety environment and working knowledge of Landlord / tenant Law and housing practices we would love to hear from you.

You must be IT literate and working knowledge of MS Office software with excellent communication skills (written, verbal and at all levels). Previous knowledge of preparing court documents and supporting witnesses and working knowledge of relevant ASB legislation, including the Housing Act is essential for the role.

You may be CIOH qualified / part qualified with experience of working within a specialist ASB / Community team. Ideally you will have experience of working with Safeguarding issues and the field of Domestic Abuse accompanied with knowledge of delivering RP`s or mental health legislation and practices.

You may have experience of the following: Community Safety Officer, Housing Association, Anti-Social Behaviour, Community Safety Co-ordinator, Safeguarding, ASB, Neighbourhood Services, Restorative Justice, Community Development, Social Housing etc.
