I have an opportunity for Registered Nurses for a specialist psychiatric home working with adult service users who present with complex mental health needs. The service also offers specialist care for individuals with Huntingdon’s Disease and other neurological conditions.

You will need to be Nurse qualified with a valid pin to be considered for this role.

• Carry out the assessment of the care needs of the service user, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, and management of staff
• Provide care for the service user on a daily basis, undertaking direct nursing and general care, as required
• Contribute positively to the setting and development of measurable standards of care relevant to the specialty; and participate in the introduction and maintenance of such strategies
• Be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of care programmes, including recreational activity
• Ensure effective and safe deployment of person power and resources in accordance with the service user needs, company policy and the Health & Social Care Act 2008, Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009 and Health & Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2010 8.
• Maintain an effective registration with the NMC and inform the Registered Manager of any changes of registration status immediately
• Administering, reviewing and monitoring medications
• Assessing, planning and implementing support plans to meet the individual needs
• Supervising the care team to ensure that the shift runs smoothly and efficiently, through positive role modelling and leadership

• Evidence based practice
• First level registration
• Professional training in a related environment

All applicants must have
• First level registration with a valid NMC pin
• Experience of working in a similar role previously

Circa £30,139 (£14.49 per hour) based on 40 hours per week
