Logistics Manager to £48K Benefits
Based London

This is an exciting opportunity to work for this Bold, Imaginative, Open, and Dynamic organisation providing a professional goods inwards service to support the operation of the facility with responsibility for a team of approx. 15 personnel, service partner relationships, and operational performance of the third party off-site Cross-dock facility.

The Role:
• Responsible for the regular review of all processes and procedures to ensure the logistics goods-inwards function operates effectively, efficiently, reliably and safely, and is compliant with the relevant standards.
• Ensure the right products are delivered to the right location on time.
• Implement the stock management & inventory processes using Spirit
Mobile Connect.
• Responsible for outbound courier services streamlining the number of
carriers simplifying tracking & billing.
• Maintain data to assess efficiency and performance to ensure logistics
costs are minimised, including capital expenditure on equipment.
• Agree SLA’s and KPI’s to define and monitor performance of the logistics
function, providing performance updates to senior management.
• Work with IT to implement the system to track the internal collection of
outbound packages to courier handover, ensuring appropriate
integration with other systems.
• Ensure all business processes are compliant with the required H&S,
security, quality, and financial policies.
• Advise and support the development of the annual Logistics
department budget.
• Lead the Logistics team arranging appropriate training, support, and
coaching for personnel ensuring all relevant standards and procedures
are adhered to.
• Undertake PDR’s and performance reviews to all direct reports
• Ensure the Logistics Team is fully resourced and works within the
required H&S and Security requirements.

The Person:
• Previous experience working in a goods-inwards operation in Pharma or Biomedical facilities an advantage.
• Working knowledge of order tracking systems and inventory
management, using Spirit Mobile Connect.
• Knowledge of regulations associated with hazardous products,
dangerous goods, waste management, export and import.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills and experience in supplier
contract management.
• Excellent IT skills, including relevant system knowledge (Spirit Mobile
• A self-starter and strong team-player, flexible and able to work
effectively without close supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and able to develop
excellent customer/supplier working relationships.
• Demonstrable customer service skills and problem solving skills with
people management experience.
• HNC qualified in relevant discipline
