Senior Sales Engineer

Our client, a global provider of engineered electronics, produce sensors, thermocouples, thermometers, transducers, transmitters, flowmeters and controllers to businesses across a multitude of sectors. They are currently recruiting an Senior Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager to cover the North. Their modern cell based manufacturing facilities are fully flexible for small and large batch runs, enabling them to provide short lead times even for customized products.

As Senior Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager you will support, manage, and drive the development growth of IS&C products in the Region, to allow at least 10% year on year growth.

Key Result Areas:
• Build business by identifying, selling and maintaining relationships with customers
• Forecast and book products to ensure that sales targets are met
• Organize, manage and drive sales to support sustained growth in assigned region
• Properly articulate value proposition of growing product portfolio on all customer levels
• Assist in the design-in and development cycle of new products and for managing the seamless and speedy execution of sales and engineering projects
• Analyse market, identify and quantify new Business opportunities
• Efficiently coordinate pre and post-sales support to achieve customer satisfaction
• Assist in developing short, medium and long term sales plans
• Timely, budget, forecast and report for the region
• Review and present proposals (product selection, design solutions and project objectives) to customers
• Ensure on-time customer delivery of all information, including samples and supporting design and product verification activities
• Help quality and FAE teams to solve problems with applications with on-site evaluation and detailed discussion with customers
• Update and maintain CRM system covering the customers in the region

• Experience within the Process Control sector is critical.
• Experience of Temperature Measurement within the Aerospace sector and familiarity of AMS2750E.
• Knowledge of Pressure and Flow measurement principals and associated products.
• Calibration knowledge an advantage
• Track record of double digit sales growth per annum
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
• Technical knowledge of sensor products and electronics
• Minimum 5+ years in Sales and Marketing of a technical product
• Experience in selling in multiple markets (Industrial, Manufacturing and Aerospace)
• Strong organisational, multi-tasking and time-management skills
• Proven team leadership skills and ability to influence others at all levels within the business
• Able to demonstrate strong leadership, analytical, influencing and decision-making skills
• Must be enthusiastic and can demonstrate excellent people management and social skills
