Senior Residential Support Worker
Epsom, KT17

Due to our on-going success and to fulfil our plans for continuous development of the organisation, we are recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker for our latest acquisition, Murach House based in Epsom (Reigate Road).

This role is a working 38 hours per week on 3 week rolling rota on a shift basis; including long days, early, late and weekend shifts.

About The Job:
Reporting to the Registered Manager the Senior Residential Support Worker is responsible for supporting the young adults in their home and the wider community. You will also provide residents with a care and support service which is appropriate to their individual needs, enabling them to live as independently as possible within the home and in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
• Managing the behaviors of the residents
• Promote independence skills and encourage a high standard of personal hygiene for all residents.
• Contribute to the development of the residents with both practical and emotional support, to enable them to participate in the planning and decision making of the home, e.g. domestic and housekeeping services, leisure activities etc.
• Prepare and assist residents in preparing meals on a daily basis in accordance with good health and hygiene standards.
• As a term of employment you may be required to comply with any additional duties or tasks along with change of hours made of you by the Unit Manager as reasonably requested to ensure the smooth day to day operation of the home.

Experience Skills & Qualifications
• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (Adults)
• Experience of providing care and support to adults, young adults or children.
• To have good oral and written communication skills
• Be computer literate.
• Experience of working with adults with disabilities, autism and challenging behavior
• A full driving license is desirable but not essential.

Remuneration Package
The successful applicant will be offered a remuneration package that will consist of a basic salary of £20,196.27 (£10.22 per hour) increasing to £20,459.69 (£10.35 per hour) after successful completion of probation as well as comprehensive training and other company benefits such as; pension, life assurance, child care voucher scheme.
