Social Worker Teenage Parent & Support Service - South London

Salary up to £34,320 + £1000 Golden Hello and £1500 annual retention supplement paid after 12 months in post

This is a specialist role with specific experienced required.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience with adolescents and their parents. You'll work with like-minded people to deliver an innovative multi-agency service, that's providing more positive futures to those in need.

The Teenage and Parent Support Service provides an intensive programme of intervention with families who are struggling with the parenting of their adolescent. This could be due to a number of reasons such as behavioural concerns, emotional trauma or other teenage challenging behaviour. The work that we do empowers parents and/or carers to parent more effectively, developing successful communication and stronger boundaries.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working in adolescence fields in addition to your social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW or CQSW or equivalent recognised social work qualification).

Experience in youth offending, youth service, education mentor, teenage homelessness, drugs and alcohol or sexual health services for teenagers would be beneficial for this role.

Experience of using a multi-agency approach and working alongside partner agencies is also crucial.

Candidates must be HCPC registered and the post is subject to a satisfactory completion of an enhanced DBS check. Candidates must have successfully completed the ASYE or NQSW to consolidation level.
