Meridian Business Support are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant based in Stoke on Trent.

ROLE

* Raise and manage purchase orders
* Work closely with internal departments to maintain the stock order critical path
* Setting up & costing product
* SKU data control and management
* Maintain control of stock order shipments and freight
* Processing samples and product documentation
* Liaising with and developing supplier relationships
* Maintain stock reports and communications with all parties to achieve departmental KPI's
* Assist with creation and communication of the supplier payment schedule

HOURS

Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with 30 minute lunch and 2 x 15 minute breaks

PERSON SPECIFICATION

* You must have a minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role.
* Educated to GCSE level (minimum) and have grade C or above in Maths and English.
* Comfortable with MS Office, in particular MS Excel.
* Be self-motivated, highly organised and able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines whilst prioritising a busy work schedule.
* Will be an excellent communicator (both written and oral), being comfortable in dealing with people of all levels to build relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
* Are a flexible team player with a can-do attitude.
