The company employ over 200 people at their Port Talbot site, and offer a culture which is close knit and friendly.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Assembly Technician / Assembly Fitter will be an active member of the production team ensuring that all clients' expectations are met and that a high standard of quality is achieved.

As the Assembly Technician / Assembly Fitter, your duties will include:

* Building of assemblies for product components.
* Reading and working from engineering drawings.
* Identifying and matching parts against lists, purchase orders and engineering drawings.
* Checking materials and components
* Packing and wrapping units to secure loads for shipments.
* Detecting and reporting defective material, unusual conditions and shipping related problems.
* Ensuring that work is carried out on a timely manner and to deadlines.

To be a successful Assembly Technician / Assembly Fitter, you will have the following skills and experience:

* Must have proven assembly experience within a mechanical engineering / manufacturing environment.
* Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Experience of hydraulics and pneumatics would be advantageous.
* Experience with gantry cranes would be advantageous.

In return, the Assembly Technician / Assembly Fitter will receive a salary of up to £23,000 dependent on experience + 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays + pension scheme employer pays in 3% increasing to 5% by 2018 and 7.5% in 2019 + annual variable bonus plan + childcare vouchers.

Hours of work are Monday - Thursday (8am - 4:30pm) and Friday (8am - 3:30pm).
