Vehicle Services Manager / Workshop – Nottingham

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum. + car allowance, + bonus of up to 10% of basic

Together with the Workshop Manager responsibility for the profitable & efficient management of the workshop as well as the leading role in managing the client relationship.  To manage the Logistics and Customer Service functions within the contract, maintaining a high service delivery to the Client as per contractual obligations.  To provide and maintain a high level of customer service and administrative support to the Client through efficient monitoring and supervision of the customer service activities.

- Service Delivery, in conjunction with the Workshop Manager be responsible for ensuring the overall client contractual KPI’s are achieved and that standards are maintained whilst creating a culture that encourages business success.
- To proactively advise and communicate with the client on operational areas of the contract including opportunities for cost reduction and improved fleet availability, in conjunction with the Account Manager.
- To forecast, monitor, evaluate and report on the performance and management of the contract, providing regular updates.
- To attend contract review meetings and any other formal meetings as and when required.
- In conjunction with the Account Manager be responsible for building and maintaining the client relationship and take an operational lead in responding to customer concerns.  To manage the Customer Service Team.
- In conjunction with the Workshop Manager, produce the Kerridge WIP’s, service check sheets, manufacturer check sheets for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work.
- In conjunction with the Workshop Manager, manage the client’s vehicle service/repair scheduling, including the identification of work required (service/ cambelts, brake checks, brake fluid changes, MOT’s etc) and loading the correct ICME/Autodata allowed times on Kerridge to ensure no over/under workshop booking.
- Process ‘timed-up’ Job Cards onto the computer system, undertake invoice process and manage open WIPS ensuring they are kept to a minimum at all times. Ensure ‘month end’ processing is carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor the ‘off road’ situation and customer requirements in relation to the return of vehicles.
- Managing a robust workload schedule covering both scheduled and unscheduled vehicle maintenance work.
- To manage the Logistics Team.· Proactive management of the daily logistical operations ensuring agreed working procedures are adhered to and delivery of a high and consistent level of service.
- To liaise and assist with supplier management reviews and tender negotiations, where applicable.· To provide all relevant management reporting against supplier performance to demonstrate effective measurement of all key metrics on a regular basis, as determined by the size/scale of the supplier.

 Candidates must have:-

- Experience in a similar role within a customer driven environment
- Good experience of line management including handling of people performance issues
- Knowledge of ICME/Auto Data systems
- Experience of workshop job loading to maximise workshop utilisation.
- Experience of workshop job scheduling
- Strong presentation skills with experience of presenting to all levels within an organisation
- Be prepared to travel to other sites including overnight stays
