The vacancy is for a Senior Building Surveyor/Associate Director (AD) to join the Bristol Buildings and Construction team. The role will involve a mix of professional and project based Building Surveying work on all types of commercial property. In addition, it offers direct exposure to a wide cross section of internal and external clients, access to training and the opportunity to work for a dynamic, forward thinking and expanding business.

As expected of a modern team you would be provided with the latest IT equipment, remote working capability and continued innovation of new products and software to increase their service and productivity.

What this job involves

* Undertaking Building Surveyor's inspections and preparing reports
* Preparing specifications for and administering repair and refurbishment contracts
* Preparing and negotiating schedules of dilapidations / preparing exit strategies
* Preparing planned maintenance reports
* Undertaking building reinstatement cost assessments
* Potential to project manage or act as construction/development monitor on larger projects, or assist depending on experience
* Assisting with co-ordination of portfolio instructions and undertaking other duties from time to time as may reasonably required
* Business Development both internally property consultant, externally and with existing clients (AD)
* Assisting the Directors with day to day management of the department (AD)

Sound like you? To apply you need to be/have:

* MRICS (Building Surveying) with proven experience PQE, preferably in a commercial consultancy
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Experience of AutoCAD an advantage, though not essential
* Clean driving licence
* Required to have the ability to work within a team and on own initiative
* Must be enthusiastic proactive and self-motivated
* Must have strong verbal and numerical skills, and be comfortable with report writing
* Requires excellent time management and general organisation skills
* Is required to be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure
* Must be well presented and have excellent communication skills
* Willing to become part of a dynamic and supportive team
