We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an IT Infrastructure Manager / Network Engineer that has excellent leadership, communication, technical and organisational skills.

Working as the IT Infrastructure Manager / Network Engineer you will join the small IT team based in the Head Office of this innovative European organisation, reporting directly to the Head of IT UK & Ireland.

As the IT Infrastructure Manager / Network Engineer you will be primarily responsible for the Head Office IT Infrastructure and the extensive network covering almost 70 locations in the UK. You will also provide general IT support to the team and business if required.

Your duties and responsibilities as the IT Infrastructure Manager / Network Engineer:

• Provide infrastructure leadership and support to the business ranging from in-house Fileservers, Head Office LAN, connectivity within WAN, and on occasion, on-site equipment Thin Clients and PC’s

• Involvement in projects that have an IT component from start to finish including; initial discussions, technical solutions, troubleshooting, documentation and end use training

• Co-ordinate with other areas of the business ensuring the IT infrastructure is fully operational upon completion of new site builds and refurbished facilities

• Implementation of Group solutions throughout the business as directed

• Working with suppliers to ensure on-site equipment connects successfully to the network


• A proven track record of taking the initiative and an ability to find and create solutions

• Experience of taking responsibility for projects

• Intelligence, initiative and an ability to learn quickly on the job

• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Operating Systems and TCP/IP networking

• Qualifications with Microsoft or Cisco would be an advantage

• An understanding of the relationship between business process and the corresponding IT solutions

• Communicating effectively at all levels

• Experience of working in an IT support role

• Potential to take on further leadership roles in the future

• Willingness to travel to remote sites where necessary

• Hands on approach
