Our client is an established, independent specialist in office design and refurbishment, project management, fit-out and furniture supply. They have a vast amount of experience and an impressive portfolio of projects. They offer a variety of services including space planning, design and building, Internal Fit Out and External Building Services. They predominantly cover London and Regions but have taken on projects for clients across the UK. They are currently in the market for a Project Manager to manage their expanding portfolio of projects.

As a key member of the team you are the one that makes sure that all projects are completed on time and within budget. You are the central pivot between the company and the clients & your job is to liaise with the Site Managers, the suppliers and the clients so you must be able to communicate with all levels from Directors to sub-contractors.

The Role of Project Manager - Commercial Fit Out

* To oversee all aspects of the project to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used and the different interests involved are satisfied
* To make sure that the project is completed on time and within budget, the project objectives are met and that everyone else is doing their job properly.
* Managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Agreeing project objectives
* Representing the client's interests
* Providing advice on the management of projects
* Organising the various professional people working on a project
* Carrying out risk assessments
* Managing Clients expectations
* To be responsible for the planning, management, coordination and financial control of a project
* Recruiting specialist and sub-contractors
* Monitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained
* Overseeing the accounting, costing and billing

The Candidate

* Experience in delivering high value projects up to the value of £2m
* Experience operating as a Projects Manager within the interiors industry
* Working with large budgets (over £1,000,000) would be advantageous
* Good working knowledge of practices in the building and construction idustry
* Ability to think "outside the box" to create pragmatic solutions.
* Based local to the offices in Farnborough but happy to travel
* Ability to liaise at all levels between departments and get results via people
* Ability to solve problems and make decisions in an effective and timely manner
* Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and use own initiative
* Ability to exercise effective judgment, discretion, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations.
