A leading CDN company are growing fast and requires an energetic Sales Engineering Team Manager in EMEA to help drive revenues into new markets. The ideal candidate will lead, develop and coach a team of SE’s across EMEA. As the manager of the Sales Engineering (SE) team, a Sales Engineering Manager (SEM) partners with managers of Sales, Marketing, and other teams to maximize the effectiveness of the Sales organization to close deals and create the best team in the company. SEMs are expected to be hands-on, working with SEs to utilize both business and technical acumen to gather and understand a prospect’s business and technical needs to effectively communicate the company’s value proposition, assemble the appropriate solution (which may include 3rd-party solutions and novel customizations), and present that solution in a compelling way to win business. This also requires understanding the competitive landscape, the greater market, and alternatives.

Required

-Successful experience in managing remote teams
-Substantial experience in a pre-sales, client-facing environment such as technical consulting, sales engineering, or professional services
-Good experience of managing a client-facing team such as technical consulting, sales engineering, professional services, or technical support
-Familiar with Internet technologies, including HTTP protocol, and SaaS and other cloud- based services and markets
-Knowledgeable of networking concepts, web service (e.g., Apache) deployments, HTML, and web application concepts and architectures
-Oversee, create and maintain all aspects of the SE function.
-Provide expert management and guidance to the SE team.
-Strong promotion and encouragement of team working within diverse cultures, practices and geographies.
-To ensure consistent improvement of all SE Team activities.
-Superior written, verbal, and presentation skills appropriate to both technical and management audiences at all levels, in both public and private settings
-The ability to handle deadline pressures well
-Able to travel across EMEA region as required
