Business Development Manager - Technology / Communications
London (office/field based, primarily covering London and the South East, with national travel)
£40,000 - £50,000 DOE Plus Performance Bonus, Company Car or Car Allowance, Private Health Care, Free Broadband, Pension

Our client specialises in providing data centre, cloud, connectivity and voice solutions. As a result of their continued year-on-year growth, they are now seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be challenged, enabled, engaged, rewarded and motivated to help our client grow and advance their customer base.

You’ll be working within our client’s high technology environment to find new business opportunities and develop thus-far unidentified opportunities within tier one accounts.

Provided with a sales tools kit and armed with our client’s outstanding portfolio of products and services, you will work closely with new and existing accounts to map their journey and cross-sell the entire product portfolio.

The role is primarily new business focused and you will be expected to develop in-depth knowledge of the company proposition as well as the product portfolio. Once you have gained this knowledge, you will be perfectly positioned to develop relationships, qualify opportunities and act as a technical resource for accounts.

In addition to business development, your activities will include:

- Helping create targeted marketing campaigns for strategic verticals
- Building a strong pipeline of opportunities
- Ensuring client satisfaction through regular contact and effective development plans
- Working with the Service Delivery team to support clients
- Taking ownership of relationships and the integrity of the business in clients’ eyes

Interested? If so, you must have:

- Previous experience as a business development manager in a technology or communications environment
- Proven B2B sales experience, either selling directly to clients, or reseller and/or channel sales
- A full, valid driving licence

Highly customer focused and motivated, as a Business Development Manager, you’ll also need a superior professional presence and business acumen as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-moving and continually evolving environment.

Broad, relevant knowledge of technology would be beneficial to your application.
