Network Engineer - Cisco (CCNP)

£40,000 - £45,000 Plus Pension & Private Healthcare (after probationary period)

Our client is one of the UK's fastest growing consultancy, managed service and infrastructure providers with solutions ranging from Unified Communications to Network and Cloud Computing.

They are now looking for a CCNP certified Network Engineer to join their team and provide a high level of support to customers, both remotely and on-site.

As a Network Engineer, you will:

- Develop device configurations in-line with best practice
- Attend sites to install and commission hardware
- Liaise with Cisco Technical Assistance Centre and carriers to ensure smooth service migrations and turn up
- Complete change control and scheduled maintenance service requests
- Respond to service incidents

Interested? If so, you will need a CCNP (Cisco) certification and at least three years’ experience of supporting and deploying the following Cisco products:

- Catalyst and/or Nexus switches
- ISR and ASR routers
- Wireless access point and controllers

You will also need proven design, implementation and troubleshooting experience for switching and routing features including:

- Hot standby and Stacking
- SVI and VLAN configuration including CAR and traffic shaping
- VWIC and HWIC hardware configuration
- NAC, ACL and NAT configurations
- HSRP and VRRP setup
- MPLS VRF configuration
- BGP, EIGRP and OSPF routing including route filtering and route redistribution

Ideal candidates will also have a degree (or equivalent) at a 2:1 or above.
