A leading Tonbridge Secondary School are interviewing for the post of Graduate Trainee Design & Technology Teacher from September. This Graduate Trainee Design & Technology Teacher post presents a golden opportunity for any suitably qualified graduate to train at their school for 2 years and gain QTS and a PGCE through Premier Pathways. This Tonbridge Secondary are keen to develop exceptional secondary teachers with Premier Pathways, including Design & Technology Teachers. They are keen to develop and retain the complete teacher with this school based programme. The Premier Pathways programme will allow any successful Graduate Trainee Design & Technology Teachers the opportunity for becoming an exceptional teacher. The PGCE and training will be provided by the University of Buckingham, considered by a leading national newspaper to be the ‘University of the Year for Teacher Training’.

The 2-year training programme is divided into 3 phases of enhanced progression resulting in the achievement of QTS. The first 2 terms will allow you to develop your pupil interaction skills in a Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor capacity. As a Graduate Trainee Design & Technology Teacher at this school you will be supporting teaching and learning across the school. Part of your role will include supporting the class in an ad-hoc capacity, working in differing situations to build up your portfolio of skills and expertise. During the next 2 terms your levels of responsibility will increase as you become an unqualified teacher learning to plan lessons and lead classes.
