We are looking to recruit 10 Support Workers / Carers to join our brand new service in North End, Portsmouth. Working a 40 hour week on a 24/7 rota from 8am – 3pm / 2.30pm – 10pm plus weekends and waking nights. Benefits include 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays, and 1 additional week of annual leave can be purchased, a pension scheme, free employment benefits package, free training and ongoing career development. The hourly rate for this role £9.09 per hour.

The Organisation:
Caretech Community Services is a national provider of support for people with complex and challenging behaviours associated with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health illness and neurological conditions, we support people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and also in residential care. With over 250 services across the UK and further growth plans to increase the number of Supported Living services across the group.

The Role: Mental Health Support Worker
Due to continued expansion within the organisation, a brand new Supported Living service consisting of 10 self-contained flats has been built in North End, Portsmouth to accommodate people with a Primary Mental Health Support Need, Including for people with Dual Diagnosis. who may need support with the best possible recovery outcomes with long term and complex needs.

The service is due to open in the New Year and we are looking to recruit and train a new team who will work closely with our partners and stakeholders to provide a comprehensive, high quality service. This will involve assessing and supporting clients on a daily basis in all aspects of their person centred recovery plans, monitoring and reporting on progress through regular multi-agency reviews and contributing to the development and continual improvement of the service.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Mental Health Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Care Worker preferably in a mental health setting, however we are prepared to accept applications from candidates who can demonstrate they are competent from other care settings, providing you demonstrate the right values and are prepared to working in this challenging but rewarding service.

We select staff not just on their experience but on their personal attitude and approach and how we feel their personalities will match with the individuals we support. Support staff receive training around supporting individuals with mental health problems.
