When you join our team in Hessle, you will liaise with a range of people on a daily basis, and develop a strong and varied set of skills throughout your career. You will provide a professional application level support service to Higher Education customers throughout the UK, and globally. Providing technical and operational support using telephone, email and remote assistance, you will liaise with developers, testers, analysts and managers to resolve issues. The team also has responsibility for incident and problem management and ensuring calls are resolved in line with Service Level Agreements.

Tribal are working to develop a 24x7 support service and this role involves working shifts to provide this service. To accommodate training for this role employment will be 7.5 hours between 8.30am and 5pm for the first three months. After this period the role requires working within the shift system. Currently this requires working 7.5 hours a day between 7.00am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

What skills and experience can I bring to the role?

Excellent customer service, communication and influencing skills are required along with the ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and quality. Strong IT skills are essential including knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office.

If you are a strong problem solver and enjoy working with people in a dynamic environment, then this role will be ideal for you.

A general understanding of ITIL and knowledge of SQL Server is an advantage but not essential and knowledge and/or experience of the Higher Education sector is also advantageous.

The starting salary for this exciting role is £18,000 pa and there is the opportunity to earn regular increments for the first 3 years as your skills, knowledge and experience grow. This means your salary could be £24,000 pa after 3 years. Along with this, we also offer the usual benefits such as pension, private medical insurance and life assurance.
