The Organisation:

BMC are delighted to be assisting a global organisation with the recruitment of a Payroll Clerk on an initial contract covering for maternity leave.

The business offers a broad range of professional service across a number of industries, and has enjoyed a number of recent contract wins. Working as part of a small payroll team, responsibilities will include the end to end processing of the monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and high levels of service are maintained.

The Role:

  • Working as part of a small team, processing the UK / International payroll

  • Ensuring that all data is correct on the system, including new starters / leaver information

  • Processing one-off payments

  • Ensuring that any changes to the payroll are calculated and administered accurately

  • Tax uploads

  • Reporting and reconciliations

  • Payroll reconciliations / Data cleansing

  • Various reports

  • Processing third party payments

  • Assisting with correspondence (internal / external) and providing high levels of customer service

  • Ad-Hoc tasks as and when required

The Individual:

  • Demonstrated payroll processing experience

  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to work with an exceptionally high degree of accuracy and to tight timescales

  • Awareness or experience of working in a Shared Service Centre environment would be desirable

  • Understanding of payroll legislation and processes

  • Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience of using iTrent and Oracle R12 systems would be desirable

  • Ability to commit to full duration of this contract
