Junior 2D Animation / Stills Digital Artist

Through analysing and breaking down client briefs, you will need to be comfortable taking a creative lead on a variety of projects, and can tell engaging stories in your work, whether still or animated.
With plenty of room for growth and development, this role is perfect if you’re looking to develop your skills as a digital artist to the highest levels.
The ideal candidate would fulfil these duties:-
- Working with clients to create high quality and engaging animations
- Working positively to tight deadlines with a flexible approach to moving goal posts
- Taking the lead on briefs, and pushing the limits while delivering to the client requirements
- Proficient with the Adobe Suite, especially PhotoShop and AfterEffects
- Creative thinker
- Driven and proactive
- Ability to hand-draw would be a bonus
- Knowledge of 3D animation work
We are an award winning animation and visual effects studio, set up by Mike Richter and Jason Robbins. The Guardian’s start up company of 2014, we operate as a core team of three, and work with freelancers all round the world on a variety of different projects.
Based in Cornwall, we collaborate with clients on a national and international level. We cover projects within advertising, gaming, architectural visualisation and film, working with both private and public sector clients such as Huawei, Hachette, BBC, Sky, NHS, and Penguin Random House. Our work has been featured online, on TV, at events, and in films and games.
Joining the Engine House team is an opportunity to be part of an experienced and fun team who are working on exciting, high profile projects. We are situated just 10 minutes from the beach, and set in a relaxed working environment. Experience of playing Mario Kart would also be beneficial, but training in this area can also be given!
