Do you give the judges on "strictly come dancing" a run for their money with your moves? Do you know the words to "Hound Dog"? If you can answer yes to these questions then you`re going to get on so well with the people we support.

We are currently looking to expand our team of dedicated support workers in Clacton-On-Sea who are supporting a unique group of 4 Females who have a learning disability.

Everyone has their own requirements but the type of support you will provide would be around administering medication, helping with personal care and offering support with cooking healthy meals.

Being a support worker isn`t just about making day to day life good, it`s about creating days that are spectacular! Each day will be different but on a spectacular day you could be helping one of our ladies secure her dream job, going to visit pugs or even going shopping.

Have a look at the additional information attached to really get an idea of who we support and what they need from you.

Supporting someone with their daily life is not a 9-5 job. You will need to be able to work across a range of different days and shift patterns, including some sleep in shifts. We realise that your quality time is important too, so your rota is prepared well in advance - Got a request, something special going on? Your manager will certainly try to help you meet it.

Our ladies have access to their own vehicles but do require someone who can drive so you will need a full driving license also.

One of the most amazing things about being a Support Worker is that anyone can do it! As long as you have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of those with a learning disability, we will support you with progression opportunities throughout your career with us.

An enhanced DBS will be required for each successful candidate (Paid for by Mencap, T&Cs apply)

This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.
