Market leading multi-disciplinary consulting engineers is seeking a CAD technician to join their well established Civil Engineering team in East Grinstead.

This is a permanent job with a large consultancy, the role with offer great progression and training. The ideal candidate will be experienced and be able to bring your prior knowledge to the team in order to deliver excellent on projects.

You will be working within their multidisciplinary bridges and tunnels team; candidates will produce detailed designs using CAD and BIM software to client specs on highways, rail and civil structures projects.

Key Skills Include:

  • Knowledge and experience of client standards e.g. Network Rail, TfL, Crossrail etc
  • Experience creating BIM models using Revit or AECOsim (knowledge of clash detection functions)
  • Proven design experience using CAD software (AutoCAD/MicroStation) on building or civil structures projects - bridges and tunnels
  • Relevant qualification (HNC minimum) in civil engineering or similar discipline

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Civil/Structures projects (highways, rail bridges and tunnels and associated buildings). Any experience of steelwork structures would be an advantage and enthusiasm to mentor junior technicians is also beneficial.
