My client is looking to secure a candidate who is looking to progress within the healthcare / domiciliary care environment. For the right candidate, ongoing training and support will be given to take you to the next level of your career, working within a Deputy Manager role.

You will be able to work in a pressured environment, working alongside a number of passionate and capable healthcare professionals to ensure a high level of care and service is supplied to a number of service users, in their own homes, to ensure their safety and comfort.

You will be responsible for:
- Scheduling rotas and routes for the carers, allowing adequate time for travelling , plus ensuring shifts are allocated as efficiently as possible in line with business needs, dealing with amendments, cancellations and any problems and issues that arise
- Ensuring care plans are in place for each service user, that they are updated in line with company and industry regulations , advising the relevant external bodies of changes and new information regarding plans
- Making appointments / visits for external bodies such as social services , doctors and other care professionals as and when needed to ensure service users ever changing needs are met
- Dealing with all matters that arise with service users, amending visits, updating family members as well as being on hand to put them at ease
- Helping with supervisions and review
- Tendering for business packages, dealing with associated admin and paperwork
- Attending managers training and meetings, working in partnership to grow branch and business , identifying new areas of growth and working together to achieve these
- Making sure nominated area is running day to day as smoothly as possible, overcoming issues and problems that arise
All of the above, with the right attitude and below requirements will be supported with ongoing training from senior management, as will support and funding for ongoing higher qualifications / relevant courses to improve skills and knowledge.

Essential Skills / abilities:
- Must have NVQ Level3 in Health and Social Care or higher, or equivalent
- Significant experience working with the elderly ideally, thought other groups and settings will be considered
- Both hands on care experience and relevant office experience in care setting, for example previously worked on care plans, carried out supervisions or organised rotas
- Looking for long term role in care management
- Ideally experience of domiciliary / community care within a supervisory / managerial capacity
- Driver, happy to work when the business dictates work out in the community
- Able to work in a team environment but equally confident and capable working on own initiative

- Able to lead and motivate carers, an understanding for the role, its pressure's and how to ensure you are getting the best out of a team through mentoring and ongoing support , able to build trusting positive relationships with colleagues, management and service users as well as external healthcare professionals and bodies
- Confident working with service users, a solid understanding of care plans and how these are implemented
- Ability to prioritise own workload, confident working to deadlines, as well as having an adaptable and flexible approach to new working methods.
