My client in Bracknell is currently in need of a driven Sales Engineer.

The role:

To sell the products and services offered by the Instrument Solutions business. To develop relationships with current and potential customers in order to increase the revenue through understanding of customer needs and demands.

As Sales Engineer you will be:

• Taking technical and non-technical customer enquiries by telephone or in person, establishing the customer needs, providing advice on product selection, and availability from stock to suit customer requirements.

• Processing contracts using bespoke software systems (HireMate & Dimensions), along with the all subsequent documentation including invoices, queries, credits and any complaints on goods or services provided by the business.

• Responsible for the action of accurate quotation requests, either verbal or in the written form such as by direct e-mail.

• Maintaining contact details and records in a customer database such as ACT.

• Advising the Internal Sales Manager or Business Manager of any situation that may affect delivery performance.

• Liaising with the calibration / technical staff to ensure the correct interpretation of the customer orders and the timely completion of the work.

• Advising the management team on enquiry trends and new product opportunities.

• Identifying opportunities for performance improvement, particularly office efficiency.

• Providing support to any part of the hire, calibration or sales administration teams during any periods of staff absence.

• Ensuring continued conformity with the requirements contained in ISO 9001 (BSI) and ISO 17025 (UKAS) through the procedures defined within Quality Manual.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following Skills and Knowledge:

• PC literate with a working knowledge of proprietary Microsoft software packages such as Word.

• Good written and verbal communications.

• Good attention to details and commitment to achieving a high level of customer service.

• Enthusiasm and willingness to play an active part in a small team in both an office and laboratory environment.

The salary for this role is is paying up to £25k per annum and the hours are standard days.
